The Simorgh, a Vienna based non-profit aimed at strengthening bridges in the global Iranian community, invites people and photography lovers to participate in its first Being Iraninan photography competition. The competition is open to all, with a preference for the global Iranian community to engage in this discussion of what does it mean to be an Iranian via photographic imagery.
The need to belong to a group is a human requisite, but how we show and manifest what we as Iranians hold near and dear is different and unique to each of us. Images speak a thousand words. We would like to use images to showcase the interpretations we make of being Iranian. Open to everyone from any country and at any age. • Submissions are free. • Only digital format photographs and are eligible. • Maximum of three (3) photographic works per person is accepted. • Each entry must be the original work of the participating person, and he/she must be the sole owner of the copyright of such entry.
