Online shopping has grown from a novelty activity in the early days of the Internet, to something so universal that many young consumers can’t imagine a world where the majority of their shopping isn’t done online. To illustrate this point, 2019 e-commerce sales were $3.53 trillion, with this number expected to grow to $6.54 trillion by 2022.
Just as online shopping looked very different 10 years ago, we know that it will continue to evolve and change in the years to come. We want your help imagining the future of what online shopping might look like.
Please answer the following:
1) Choose one aspect of the online shopping experience (ex. payment, browsing, reviews, etc.) and describe how you think it will change in the next 10 years
2) What impact will this change have on the online shopping experience?
