The competition aims to encourage writers of any age. Please see below for full terms and conditions of entry.
All work submitted for consideration can be on any subject (Children’s Fiction), and written in any style or form, in English, but must be the entrant’s own original writing. Work found to be published in print or to have been broadcast or to have appeared on a website outside of these terms will be disqualified without refund of the entry fee.
- Entries must not exceed 500 words.
- Entries should be submitted typed or word-processed in MS Word .doc format. Adobe .pdf format. Other formats will not be accepted.
- The competition will be judged in two categories:
a) Young Writers (Under 18 years old)
b) Adults
Young writers: Each £5 entry fee allows you to submit one short story (500 words). If you would like to enter more than one short story, please select the correct number of entries when you start purchasing.
PLEASE READ, we don’t want to disqualify you after all the effort you’ve made.
Entries must not exceed 500 words, excluding title and headers and footers.
Entries should be in the form of a short story, written in English. Please Nominate one author on the title page of your Children’s Short Story.
Entrants may submit as many stories as they wish, but each story must be submitted as a separate entry with a separate entry form and a separate entry fee.
This competition is open to anyone in the world. The prize will send via PayPal
Winners published in e-magazine through Amazon.
The Closing Date is 31st December 2020 and electronic entries must arrive by 23.59 UK time on that day.
Winners will be notified by 15th January 2021 and announced on The ITS GROUPS website.
Electronic entries received after the closing date, will not be accepted but entry fees will not be reimbursed.
No entries should have won or been placed in a competition or been previously published including on any third-party online platforms.
Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant. Translations into English of work written in other languages can be accepted, provided that the source text is the entrant’s own original work and has not been published before.
Entries will be accepted only online via the competition website. Submission via other means (e.g. by email or in hard copy by post) will not be accepted.
Amendments cannot be made to entries after they have been submitted; stories cannot be amended, corrected or substituted. If entrants wish to correct errors in stories, they must inform us to withdraw their story from the Competition and enter again with payment of entry fee.
ITS Groups reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of these Rules, or made a false declaration on the entry form.
Entry indicates acceptance of these rules.
