This is an incredible opportunity for innovative, bright and enthusiastic artists and designers to contribute short (30secs-1min) video work(s) which challenge people’s perceptions of opera, ballet and the Royal Opera House: we want to show opera, ballet & the Royal Opera House as dynamic, thrilling, life-affirming experiences so people step inside our newly-renovated building.
At this stage, we seek concepts (animation, storyboards etc with links to previous work if necessary) by end Sept 2017; we will commission selected concepts in October 2017 and the final work will be tested in February 2018 & go live in September 2018.
Each video can use up to the full screen with a minimum viewing distance of 4m & will be displayed on a loop beside other video art works 24 hours a day. The full spec of the LED display can be supplied.
Awards:- Royal Opera House will pay a fee for the development and use of selected submissions after the initial concept stage.
