The competition is run by the Chartered Institute of Building.
The Art of Building photography competition is an international showcase for the very best digital photography of the built environment. It is a competition that celebrates buildings and the relationship people have with the built environment.
There are four categories: Architecture, Creative vision, Human interaction, Young Photographer of the Year.
Focussing on the design and style of the built environment this category celebrates everything from the small details that make up a structure to entire cityscapes.
• Creative vision
Human imagination, invention and talent is poured into the world we build around ourselves. Past winners in this category have pushed the boundaries of what is possible in creative photography, giving a unique and sometimes abstract perspective.
• Human interaction
Entries in this category capture the story of how people interact with buildings. From those who build our infrastructure to those who live, work or play alongside the built environment.
• Young Photographer of the Year
If you are under the age of 18 this is the category for you. The best entry will recieve a £500 cash prize.
The overall prize for the winning photography is £3,000.
