CEAT is seeking to be more sustainable across its value chain to comply with organisation wide net zero targets.
With this challenge, CEAT aims to seek and work with solutions/products that can make it more sustainable including type of raw material used.
Tyre manufacturing uses a substantial amount of Rubber Process Oil (RPO) which is currently crude based. In line with CEAT’s vision of embedding sustainability into tire manufacturing, we aim to explore following alternative oils to increase circularity:
• Used Cooking Oil
• Tyre Pyrolysis Oil
• Vegetable Oil
• Palm Oil
These alternatives must perform at par with conventional RPO within the existing price range.
Proposed solutions must specify:
1) Supply chain possibilities,
2) Manufacturing viability, and
3) Product specifications.

Grant prize of INR 1 lakh to the one winning solution that best addresses the problem statement
Non-Fiscal Incentives
Based on effectiveness and practicality of the suggested solution, CEAT may look to work with the company with the winning solution to try a pilot.
