The competition is organized every two years by the Association SYLVIA S. from Paris, France. Each candidate must submit 12 – 18 photographs on any subject (one cohesive body of work rather than single images). Submitted photographs must not have been published or exhibited in France before.
The Prix Virginia
– Awarded every other year, the Prix Virginia is open to all living women photographers, regardless of their nationality or age.
– Work done for commercial advertising or as an editorial assignment for an article will not be accepted.
– The photographs submitted must not have been published or exhibited in France heretofore. However, the artist may have already exhibited other works in France. However, the artist may have already exhibited other works in France.
– The photographers may apply directly or other professional experts (photo editors, gallery owners, photo agents, and such) may apply for them.
– The prize is not intended to finance the completion or the exhibition of a body of photographic work.
– Application to the prize is free of any cost.
– Any application which does not correspond to the conditions previously defined will not be submitted to the Jury.
Awards:- The winner will receive a cash prize of 10,000 €.
