From portable lights and remote-controlled gadgets to wearable tech and small robots, battery-powered projects bring ideas to life wherever you go. If your build runs on batteries, it belongs in the Battery-Powered Contest.
We’re looking for projects that show how batteries can power creativity. That could be a clever gadget, a useful everyday tool, a fun electronic toy, or a unique experiment. Simple circuits, Arduino builds, custom devices, and creative inventions are all welcome, the only requirement is that your project uses batteries as its power source.
This contest celebrates creativity, mobility, and the freedom that comes with cutting the cord. Show us how batteries help your project move beyond the wall outlet and into the world. Whether your project is beginner-friendly or packed with advanced electronics, we want to see how you made it work on battery power.
We have four total judges’ prizes: Autodesk Design & Make Award for best use of Autodesk software in the creation of your project, and three Student Judges’ Prizes for the best Instructables made by actively enrolled students.
Awards:- Cash gift cards
Deadline:- 06-07-2026
