The Hair & Beauty Innovation Challenge invites Indian startups and innovators to develop advanced solutions across beauty biotechnology, dermatology, organic beauty products, and salon-tech innovation. The challenge focuses on improving scalp care, hair regrowth, product safety, personalization, and digital beauty experiences.
Selected startups will receive grant support up to ₹5 lakh, along with mentorship and incubation support, to refine, validate, and scale innovative beauty solutions.
Open to Indian startups, MSMEs, and innovators working in hair care, beauty biotech, dermatology, organic and sustainable beauty products, or salon-tech solutions.
Applicants must be incorporated or registered in India (DPIIT/Startup India recognition preferred but not mandatory at the time of application).
Startups at any stage of development—idea, prototype, MVP, pilot, or early commercialization—are eligible to apply.
Solutions should demonstrate innovation, safety, scalability, and relevance to hair, beauty, or personal care challenges.
Individual innovators and early-stage founders may apply, provided they are willing to register an entity if selected for incentives.
Scalp Health & Hair Regrowth Innovation
Effective, safe, and scientifically backed scalp care and hair regrowth solutions remain limited and inaccessible to many consumers. This problem statement invites innovations in beauty biotechnology, dermatology, formulations, and devices that improve scalp health, promote hair regrowth, and deliver measurable results.
Safe, Organic & Sustainable Beauty Products
Growing consumer awareness has increased demand for safe, organic, and chemical-free beauty products, yet adoption remains low due to cost, efficacy, and scalability challenges. Startups are encouraged to develop innovative formulations, sourcing models, and manufacturing processes that ensure safety, sustainability, and performance.
Salon-Tech & Beauty Automation Gaps
Salon and beauty service providers face limitations in technology adoption, automation, and operational efficiency. This problem statement seeks salon-tech solutions, smart devices, and automation tools that enhance service quality, reduce costs, and improve customer experience.
Personalized & Digital Beauty Platforms
