In order to break the chain of gastrointestinal infections in the country’s children, Harpic® seeks an accessible method to provide water services, for sinks, cleaning and sanitation, to the bathrooms of schools in Mexico that are not connected to the aqueduct.
This is an Electronic Request for Membership (eRFP) Challenge; the Solver will have to submit a written proposal that will be evaluated by the seeker with the aim of establishing a collaborative association.
In schools in Mexico, access to toilet and sink services is not guaranteed. According to the UNICEF WASH program, which monitors this problem, three important characteristics must be met to offer a quality health service in schools: drinking water, which can be ingested and which can be used to wash hands and body without causing problems; hygiene, which refers to the availability of infrastructure and elements to clean the human body; and finally, sanitation, which is the treatment and disposal of human excrement and wastewater.
One of the most difficult problems facing health services in schools is hygienically clean bathrooms and sinks, because without the availability of hygienically clean bathrooms and sinks, operation cannot be ensured, nor can a clean and quality service be guaranteed. , leading to the development of diseases in children and adults who use these services in schools.
To solve this problem, we look for solutions that are scalable, that is, that are easily implementable in diverse scenarios and locations in the country and with few infrastructure developments or that depend on a specific territory condition.
This is an Electronic Request for Membership (eRFP) Challenge. The Solver will draft a preliminary proposal (2-4 pages, including non-confidential supporting information and contact details) that will be evaluated by the Seeker with the goal of establishing a collaborative partnership. Once the evaluation is finished, the Seeker will be able to contact the selected Solvers directly to establish the conditions of a collaboration contract. The monetary value of the contract will vary depending on the amount of work to be delivered and the agreed term.
