When it comes to health, the idea of “self-care” is becoming more important for people who want to build habits and use products that will keep them feeling good physically, mentally, and emotionally. As an over-the-counter (OTC) health brand, we are focused on what the next wave of self-care products might look like. Specifically, we’re looking for new product ideas in the following three product innovation spaces:
1) Incremental Innovation: New products that address needs in areas people already care about:
- Stress reset
- Microbiome balance
- Sustained focus
- Muscle maintenance
2) Breakthrough Innovation: New products that solve high-stakes problems where needs are still unmet in the following areas:
- Mood uplifters
- Metabolic harmony
- Everyday movement
- Sleep recovery
3) Transformative Innovation: New products that people aren’t asking for yet, but there are signals that these areas will become important in the near future:
- Heart harmony
- Burnout prevention
- Inflammation balance
- Mouth-body connection
Your task is to submit a new product idea for one of these three innovation spaces. Keep in mind that the idea should be executable by an over-the-counter health brand, so stay away from advanced technical solutions like wearables or solutions that would require a prescription.
