Infosys is offering capabilities and innovations to our clients to bring in Energy Transition across the world. We are keen to leverage the start-up ecosystem in India bring in significant innovations to the industry. We welcome participation from Indian Start-ups working on Energy Transition and related fields, using advanced technology to develop industry leading solutions. We are looking for solutions that will help businesses improve the energy efficiency of infrastructure and help meet their decarbonization goals.
Automated Energy Assessment
Definition – Perform energy assessment in 2-5 days’ time using Digital technologies including but not limited to IoT, AI, ML, Drones, Thermal imaging, Optics, Electrical measurement automation tech etc. for buildings and / or Industries. (Target – Complete Energy Assessment for Infosys Pune Size campus in less than 1 week).
Impact – Quick GTM, reduces proposal time, investment in EA, enables performance-based offerings, Easier to Scale, currently not available in market hence differentiated offering.
Health analysis, Failure prediction and failure RCA of electrical equipment’s without historical data and irrespective of its make and model.
Definition – Monitor health of electrical equipment’s, predict failure (1 week or 1 month in advance), identify root cause of failure without depending on historical data, make and model of equipment, and Voltage levels. The solution to be implementable in less than a week to give results without the need to train the models again and again.
Impact – Scalable across industries and sectors, Less dependency on sensors, historical data, Static data etc.
Quantifying annual degradation of Solar PV panels
Definition – As a result of this feature in the digital monitoring and analytic tool, user should be able to quantify the actual YoY degradation of PV panels and compare the same wrt design degradation with highest level of accuracy.
Impact – Across the industry, rarely its followed to check the actual degradation of panels and any deviation above design would help the customer in claiming warranty from OEM’s.
Loss modelling for Solar PV system without additional sensors (or with minimum sensors)
Definition – Quantifying various losses of Solar PV system: – As a result of this feature in the digital monitoring and analysis tool, user should be able to quantify various losses (Eg: Soiling loss, Temperature loss, Cable loss, Inverter loss, Irradiance loss, String loss etc.) of the PV system with or without the need of actual sensors (Based on various mathematical models) or using drone images, camera feeds etc.
Impact – If Mathematical models can achieve good accuracy without the need for deploying actual sensors it would be disruptive. Sensor related mistakes can be avoided.
Optimize / Saving power consumption of idling workstations (Desktop / Laptop) / server
Definition – will enable reduction / complete elimination of idle power waste & can also fold up as a check related to occupancy which is communicated to regulate occupancy-based cooling demand.
Impact – Energy savings potential in commercial buildings and Data Centers.
Create Automated LCOE and IRR modelling for renewables including solar and BESS in less than 10 minutes.
Definition – Smart project optimization software used in early-stage development to identify the best system design and the right products for renewable projects. Define GCC, IRR and LCOE based models for various options using variables like weather and terrain, factors affecting module performance, as well as finance and revenue structures.
Impact – Accurate design in feasibility stage, eliminates assumptions, improve your IRR, and speed up the development cycle.
