In an ecosystem with 92,000+ DPIIT-recognized startups established across the country, new incubators are being established more frequently, but the support to new incubator managers and their teams in terms of training, sensitization, and knowledge building remains limited. Additional challenges arise for incubators outside of India’s metros. In order to close this gap and support incubators in establishing their operations, a certain level of understanding and training is required.
The National Incubator Capacity Development Program is a hands-on training program designed for incubator managers which will act as a growth hack for incubators to help them become sustainable.
The prime objective of this cohort-based hybrid capacity development and enhancement program is to build the capacity of Incubators in India in order to achieve the following objectives:
• Providing long-term handholding and mentorship support to incubator managers
• Enhancing capacities of incubators, especially across emerging cities
• Providing better infrastructure for entrepreneurs to grow
The training program will be a 12-16 week-long, cohort-based hybrid capacity development program the composition of which is divided into self-learning modules, group sessions, and in-person sessions. The call for applications will be hosted on the Startup India Platform to shortlist incubators.
Through this call for applications, eligible Incubators are being invited to be part of this Incubator manager training exercise.
