Manufacturing companies such as CEAT are finding the need to digitize across various aspects of the business imperative to boost productivity and increase competitiveness. The goal of this challenge is to seek and work with solutions/products that can achieve above objective.
CEAT factories have substantial manual labor involved in lifting and placing material on the shop floor, including work in process tyres, across various steps in the tyre making process. This causes heavy fatigue which in turn has adverse implications on man hour productivity.
Solution desired: Low cost electro-mechanical automation that can improve labor productivity / reduce muri in manufacturing.
Key elements that the solution should include:
– Simple electrical / mechanical / pneumatic components readily available in the market.
– Logic / PLC program should be accessible to all which will be written in standard platform (RS Logics, Siemens Simatic etc)
– Should be able to integrate with existing system
– Should occupy minimum space in order to ensure the figment
