Puchi Award seeks for the most innovative,
groundbreaking, vibrant book proposals in any genre, focusing entirely on their boldness and their links with present-day art languages.
The competition is open to books in any genre or form: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, novels, comics, picture books, essays, cookbooks, geography books, combinations of the above or any other type imaginable. We’re looking for one-of-a-kind book, or even a whole new kind of book.
You may submit only finished works that have never been published.
Works may be written in any language, although a provisional translation into English of at least two pages must also be submitted.
The only way to take part in the contest is via the online application form. Documentation sent by any other means will not be considered.
Well, first of all there is a deliberation period in which we will contact some of the shortlisted artists to know about any possible detail regarding the project. Around a month later the winner, and only the winner, will be contacted again and both the artist (content) and ourselves (edition) will start working on the book itself with Fall of this same year as the deadline for the publication.
As in any standar publishing agreement, the author will receive an advance on royalties. Once the sales cover this amount, the author will receive all the sums in the royalties anual statement.
The winner will receive a cash prize of €8,000 and his work will be published and distributed by Fulgencio Pimentel.
