The SAKURA COLLECTION fashion project has relaunched its Fashion Design Awards as an international competition, open to fashion design students or non-professional designers from all parts of the world.
This year’s theme is: Futakoshi Chirimen (Hitta Crepe) fabric.
The creators of the best designs will earn the right to sell their works on the SAKURA COLLECTION semi-custom-made system, as well as to participate in a collaboration project with sponsor companies.
The mission of these Awards is to connect traditional Japanese industries and young designers to create new ideas for the future.
More details about this year’s theme can be found on the official website.
SAKURA COLLECTION is a fashion project started in 2012.
From 2012 to 2019, design awards under the theme of “Japan,” were held mainly for fashion students in Asia, and these awards produced 38 grands prix.
