This Challenge, sponsored by Iveco Group, is looking for a new, optimised design of a truck driver’s space that would creatively address an increasing demand for the driver’s performance, safety, and comfort.
Trucking represents an essential part of any mature economy. Most often, trucks are driven by a solo driver, who may spend many hours a day at the wheel. When on a trip, the truck cabin becomes both a working and a living space for the driver. This highlights the importance of a proper design of truck driving space to provide drivers with both optimal driving conditions and ample opportunities for rest, office work, and entertainment.
This Challenge, sponsored by Iveco Group, is looking for a new, optimised design of a truck driver’s space that would creatively address an increasing demand for the driver’s performance, safety, and comfort—while, at the same time, considering the existing space limitations of the cab, finding a better iteration between driver seat/rear-bed system for an optimized comfort and usability of the cab-over layout of the trucks on the European market.
