The National Poetry Competition is an annual poetry prize organized by the UK-based Poetry Society. All poems must have a title and must not exceed 40 lines in length (excluding title) Entries must be written in English. Entries can be on any subject. Entries must not have been published, self-published, published on a website or made public on social media, broadcast or featured among the winners in another competition before 31 March 2023. The judges this year are Greta Stoddart, Jason Allen-Paisant, Michael Symmons Roberts.

• 1st prize: £5,000
• 2nd prize: £2,000
• 3rd prize: £1,000
• Commendations: £200

Entry Fees:- The first poem submitted costs £7. Subsequent entries in the same submission cost £5 per poem.
