In today’s fast-paced world, the lines between meals and snacks are blurring. Introducing the sneal: a substantial snack or “mini meal.” For some people, this might mean something that provides more satisfaction or nourishment than a regular snack but is smaller than a full meal, and it’s often consumed outside of regular mealtimes or when on-the-go.
We want your help to explore what the ideal sneal looks like across food, format, and packaging. How can packaging enhance the ritual of snealing? We’re particularly interested in understanding the specific needs a sneal fulfills in the moment and what it needs to deliver.

We’re looking for concepts and packaging solutions that bring snealing to life in new and exciting ways. Your ideas should:

Enable snealing through packaging: What kind of packaging solutions allow you to take a sneal with you anywhere, supporting freshness, portion control, and sustainability while enhancing the snealing moment?
1) Your Snealing Experience
- Describe a specific instance where you chose a sneal. What was the precise need you were looking to fulfill?
- What food combinations or ingredients do you currently use for your sneals?
- How do you currently package or carry these sneals when on-the-go?
- What are the pain points or limitations of your current solutions?
2) Product Concepts
- Propose 2–3 sneal product ideas that embody the “nutritious on-the-go” theme. For each concept, clearly articulate:
- Which snealing need does this concept address? For what on-the-go occasion is it ideal?
- Describe the specific food combinations and ingredients. Emphasize how these contribute to both nutrition and the overall eating experience.
- Explain how your concept offers more satisfaction or nourishment than a typical snack, making it a “mini meal.”
3) Packaging Innovation
- Describe your ideal packaging solution for your proposed sneal concepts. Focus on how this packaging specifically enables the sneal to be taken and consumed anywhere.
- How does the packaging support:
- Freshness and food integrity (e.g., separation of wet/dry, temperature control)?
- Portion control and intuitive consumption?
- Ease of opening, closing, and re-sealing (if applicable)?
- Mess-free eating experience, especially for handhelds?
- What materials are used, and how do they support sustainability goals?
- How does the packaging enhance the visual appeal and overall “ritual” of snealing?
- Describe how it’s consumed (e.g., at home, on the go, in a car, at a desk).
4) Visuals
- Include sketches, mockups, or artistic renderings of your packaging or product concepts. Please note: you may use AI to generate images of your concepts.
