The renewed interest in yoga and wellness applications, driven by the COVID-19 pandemic, has led to virtual yoga classes and innovative props, smart mats, and AI-driven applications for assessing stress, relaxation, and wellness. The global yoga market, valued at $80 billion in 2017, is expected to grow at a 13% CAGR, reaching $216 billion by 2025, with significant growth in the Asia Pacific region. The wellness segment thrives with smart watches, wristbands, and other gadgets monitoring health, stress, activity, and sleep. These tools are crucial for yoga, measuring indicators like stress, heart rate variability, and brain blood flow, improving intervention quality and outcomes. Advances in deep learning, machine learning, and AI, combined with sensors, support smart digital yoga interventions.
The YOGA TECH CHALLENGE CONTEST invites Yogatechs and individuals to develop products (devices or software) related to yoga, tracking treatment delivery and outcomes, and providing valuable health-related information.
1. Representatives from Educational institute, Hospital, University, Registered Trusts/societies/NGOs or Yoga Institutes/ college or Any Indian company
2.Applicant(s) must be legally registered in India.
3. The Yogatech/ startup (represented by the Applicant(s)) must be less than 10 years’ old
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Problem Statement 1
Develop devices/ bioinstrumentation that measure stress and relaxation response which can be used to measure yoga outcomes and such devices can be used as an accessory while practicing yoga.
Problem Statement 2
Develop IT solutions/ applications and platforms that use AI/ ML innovations with respect to delivery of yoga interventions and measuring the correctness of postures, breathing, meditative states, adherence to practice etc
Problem Statement 3
Develop Innovative props, accessories and apparel that increase comfort and help in the ease of practice of yoga.
