To help amplify the Black Story campaign, Universal Music Catalogue is looking to collaborate with emerging black animators from the UK between the ages of 18-28 to help tell the story of these artists and their influence on the industry.
We’re calling on the creative community of animators and to join us in celebrating Black History Month in the United Kingdom! For this month, we’re collaborating with Universal Music Catalogue to help them celebrate the launch of their new campaign, Black Story, aimed at spotlighting unsung Black artists who should have been household names but were overlooked.
Black Story will give greater exposure and educate a wider demographic about the importance and influence black artists signed to the Universal Music Group have had on both UK and world culture. Black Story will focus on approx. 20 artists ranging from the 1930s to the present day spanning multiple genres including jazz, hip hop, soul, and reggae. Artists include the likes of Incognito, Gabriell, Soul II Soul, Ms. Dynamite, and many more!
Submit your portfolio, reel, or your favorite works in celebration and honor of Black History Month for the opportunity to be featured across the TLNT social channels and in Universal Music Catalogue’s Black Story Campaign. Nine (9) animators will be selected by the Ello Team and our guest judges from Universal Music Catalogue.
