Accelerating the Transition through Purposeful Innovation In an era of global volatility, sustainability has become the foundation of long-term resilience. Today, the focus is shifting toward active solutions that drive real-world change and environmental preservation. Navigating this transition requires us to rethink how we manage our resources and protect the natural world. Together, we can turn these challenges into an opportunity to build a lasting legacy that supports the generations to come.
The “Art on Climate” International Illustration Competition is a collaborative initiative organised by Fingertips Company Limited and sponsored by Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI). Our mission is to transform complex climate strategies into powerful visual stories. By inviting illustrators and video creators to explore the theme of climate change, we provide a global stage for innovative ideas and real-world solutions. Through this creative lens, we aim to inspire people to move beyond awareness and take meaningful action in their own lives.
Since its inception in Spain in 2019, the “Art on Climate” competition has evolved from a regional project into a significant global movement. Over the past seven years, it has become a powerful platform for creators worldwide to express the urgency of environmental stewardship. This momentum reached new heights in 2025, where the campaign saw record-breaking engagement with over 3,500 artworks and videos submitted by more than 2,600 illustrators across 100 different locations. As we move forward, the competition continues to expand its reach across the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together professional and emerging talents to use their creative voices for climate action.
With over two decades of leadership in sustainable investing, AllianzGI has evolved from a pioneer in ESG integration to an active driver of the global climate transition. As an early signatory of the UN PRI in 2007, we have moved beyond simply incorporating sustainability into our decisions to actively financing the solutions that secure a resilient future. Today, our mission is centered on “real-world impact” — using active stewardship and impact investing to generate enduring value for our clients and the global community. We cordially invite you to join the “Art on Climate” competition as we collaboratively visualise and shape a sustainable path forward.
Competition Theme: Climate Change
Participants are invited to submit original works on the theme of “climate change”. Participants should draw inspiration from one or more of the following topics as a starting point of their artworks:
Driving the Climate Transition for Resilient Communities
Climate change is no longer a distant risk but a call for an active global transition. To ensure long-term stability, we must move beyond merely identifying threats toward financing and implementing solutions that build resilient communities. This topic explores how we can navigate the “moment of truth” by turning climate challenges into opportunities for sustainable growth and community strength.
Respecting Planetary Boundaries to Protect Biodiversity
To maintain a stable environment, we must operate within the Earth’s environmental limits. This topic focuses on protecting our natural capital and reversing biodiversity loss. By respecting these planetary boundaries, we can ensure that our transition to a low-carbon economy does not come at the expense of our vital ecosystems, fostering a future where nature and humanity thrive in balance.
Fostering Inclusive Capitalism for a Just Transition
To deliver enduring value, sustainability must be inclusive, ensuring that decarbonisation efforts do not come at the expense of social stability. Inclusive capitalism seeks to balance financial returns with a “Just Transition” – ensuring that the move toward a green economy creates fair opportunities and social value for everyone. This topic invites creators to visualise a world where sustainable investing supports a society that is both environmentally sound and socially equitable.
