Snapchat would like to collaborate with creators to produce Cameo stickers that can be published on the Snapchat app and be used by millions of users around the world! Cameos are small animated stickers which use the user’s selfie inserted in a character’s body.
Design and produce 2 x Cameo sticker concepts of the same theme showcasing 1 person & 2 people in After Effects only!
This is a 2 stage project. From Stage 1, 10 x individual sticker pack concepts will be chosen by Snapchat as Finalists and receive $400 each. For Stage 2, Snapchat will commission 6 x Selected Creators, who will receive $5,000, to develop a full pack of 20 Cameo stickers (in the same theme) in After Effects only.
- Create 2x Cameo stickers using these themes & talking points as inspiration and guidance or you can create your own
- Include the text from the list of talking points or emotions in your Cameo Stickers, using the fonts from the resource files e.g. ‘Talk to you later’ or ‘Embarrassed’
- Your submission should use 1 theme & 1 talking point (either from our suggestions or create your own)
- Only include 1 theme & 1 talking point in a single submission. You can submit multiple times if you wish
- Your submission must include 2 x Cameo sticker concepts of the same theme:
- 1 person Cameo Sticker
- 2 person Cameo Sticker
- Please submit your concepts (2 x cameo stickers) as GIF files in the same submission. If selected for Stage 2, keep in mind you’ll need to create your Cameo stickers in After Effects
- Please keep in mind your Cameo stickers must be suitable for ‘chat’ and have a clear message so people want to use it when chatting with friends
- Don’t include references to any, dangerous situations, other brands, show/imply alcohol or drunkenness, or anything violent or offensive
- Before starting on your work, read this technical guide
- Please download the resource files which includes the template, fonts & heads to use
- Please don’t share your submission on your Talenthouse profile or any other online channels
Awards:-
10 Finalists will be chosen by Snapchat. Each will:
- Potentially receive exposure across Snap social and digital channels
- Receive $400
6 Selected Creators will be chosen by Snapchat. They will:
- Potentially be commissioned for Stage 2, to create 1 full cameo sticker pack (20 individual animated Stickers) in After Effects
- Potentially have their work published on the Snapchat app and be used by millions of users around the world
- Receive $500 for the original concept, and an additional $4,500 upon completion of Stage 2 – designing and producing 1 full cameo sticker pack (20 individual animated Stickers)
