The grocery industry has witnessed a surge in the popularity of major delivery apps such as Instacart and DoorDash, which offer convenience, but often come with high fees and, more importantly, a loss of direct customer relationships for grocery stores. Many grocery stores have responded by developing their own in-house delivery solutions but have struggled with consumer adoption.
