Johnson Matthey, the Seeker for this Challenge, produces different magnesium (Mg) and aluminum (Al) containing spray dried products – hydrotalcite-like and mixed metal oxides – with average particle sizes in the range of 80-110 micrometers and is seeking help identifying new opportunities and/or potential partners to collaborate on applications for these or modified materials. Submissions are welcome from Solvers seeking a collaborative partnership and from Solvers who can identify specific companies and contacts as potential users of one or more of the materials.
Johnson Matthey produces magnesium (Mg) and aluminum (Al) spray dried products – hydrotalcite-like and mixed metal oxides – with high surface area and pore volume and is seeking new applications for these materials. Typically, these are used in Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (FCC) units in Oil Refineries and other applications that require fluidized materials. The Seeker is seeking to identify large, specific, and actionable new opportunities for applications utilizing these or closely-related materials.
This is an electronic Request-for-Partners (eRFP) Challenge. The Solver will write a preliminary proposal (about 2-4 pages, including supporting non-confidential information and contact details) to be evaluated by the Seeker with a goal of establishing a collaborative partnership. Upon completion of the evaluation, the Seeker may contact selected Solvers directly to work out terms for a collaboration contract. The monetary value of the contract will vary depending on the amount of work to be delivered and the agreed upon time frame.
NOTE: Proposals from Solvers who have the ability to work directly as the collaboration partner or customer will be considered first. The Seeker will also consider proposals from other Solvers who propose new uses and potential suitable companies for a finder’s fee of $2,000 USD if the proposed use and company is pursued. See full description for details.
