The Mystery Sponsor is launching a new collectible line of small dolls aimed at spirited girls who delight in fanciful humor and appreciate things that are a little different. The dolls themselves are zombie-themed, but each character has died in a humorous way. For example, Freezer Burn is a doll who’s died from eating ice cream too fast!
Each doll is 3.5″ long and comes in a coffin to unbox, which includes an eye feature to “bring them back to life,” a collector card that tells the doll’s death story in a funny way, a few extra play pieces, and a sticker sheet to decorate their coffins. These dolls deliver on fun taboo themes that are a combination of edge and beauty, with lots of unique humor that will make girls want to collect them all. Their Mantra: Beauty is forever.
Now, the Mystery Sponsor is looking for a fun, memorable, and most of all ownable name for these beautiful zombie dolls. The product is primarily geared towards girls ages 5-8, but the name itself should be gender-neutral. While most of the dolls in the line are girls, they do have boy characters as well.
Here’s what they’re after:
- The name needs to work for a collection that includes both boy and girl dolls
- The name should be one word or a shorter two-word name due to the packaging size
- The product is clear (i.e. it’s a zombie-themed collectible doll line for girls ages 5-8)
- The name is unique and ownable
Come and play, and have a little reanimated fun!
EXPOSURE: The product line will be global, so the name should appeal to a global audience (i.e. not super American).
TARGET AUDIENCE: Girls ages 5-8
TONE: Trendy, fashionable, humorous, taboo, and maybe even a little macabre. Remember, the tone should appeal to a 5-8 year-old girl.
EXECUTIONAL MANDATORIES:
- In the Assets tab you can review names that have already been considered and rejected by the Mystery Sponsor. In particular, you should especially AVOID the below names:
- ZomBaes
- Zombellas
- Zombebes
- Zombelles
- I <3 Zombies
- Your name should NOT use the word “death.”
- Your name should NOT be over-sexualized in nature.
NOTE: We’re testing a new feature on projects like this. In addition to the 5 concepts that the Sponsor will be selecting, five additional submissions will be selected for Honorable Mention, and each will receive $50 for the great creative work that went into them. Submissions selected for Honorable Mention will not be used by the client, and not all submissions identified as Finalists will receive an Honorable Mention.
As always, your Name idea should be clever and engaging.
Should your concept be selected, you must complete the Winner Affidavit and IP Assignment forms in order to receive payment. All submitters will also receive an automated email notification when a selection has been announced. To ensure that you’re receiving project updates, review your email settings to check that you haven’t unsubscribed.
