The Alpine Fellowship Foundation is accepting applications for 2021, for its Visual Arts Prize competition — open to all artists aged 18 and above.
Runners up will be invited to attend the Fjällnäs symposium to exhibit their work — all food and accommodation covered. Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a total of £500.
All visual media is permitted including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, digital, and installation. Limited to one entry per person.
The competition is open to all nationalities.
Submissions will be judged anonymously, so please ensure that your name does not appear anywhere on your work.
The Alpine Fellowship is a group of writers, thinkers and artists who are passionate about learning and communicating with a view to better understanding themselves and others. Every year writing, visual arts, and theatre prizes are awarded to the best works concerning the years’ theme.
Awards:-
The prize is awarded for the best visual arts response to the theme: Untamed: On Wilderness and Civilization.
The winner will receive a £2,000 cash prize and a further £1,000 towards the artist’s travel, and the shipping and installation of their work at the symposium in Fjällnäs.
