The competition is organized by the Natural History Museum in London.
“ Wildlife Photographer of the Year calls on photographers worldwide to put nature in the frame. Whether you’re young, old, professional or amateur, we’d like to see work that raises awareness of the beauty and fragility of the natural world.
There are two competitions:
• Adult Competition open to photographers aged 18 and over;
• Young Competition open to photographers aged 17 and under.
Adult competition
There are 16 adult categories:
Animals in their Environment || Animal Portraits || Behaviour: Amphibians and Reptiles || Behaviour: Birds || Behaviour: Invertebrates || Behaviour: Mammals || Oceans – The Bigger Picture || Plants and Fungi || Natural Artistry || Underwater || Urban Wildlife || Wetlands – The Bigger Picture || Photojournalism || Photojournalist Story Award || Rising Star Portfolio Award (ages 18 to 26) || Portfolio Award (ages 27 and over).
Young competition
Images can cover any aspect of wildlife and the natural world, whether wild plants or animals or their natural environments, or illustrate our interaction with nature, good or bad.

£2,500 and personalised certificate

B. For photographers aged 17 and under

Entry Fees:- The entry fee for the Adult competition is £30.
The cost increases to £35 in the last week of the entry period, from 11.30 on 2 December 2021.
