We’re looking for savvy social content creators who love all things Nickelodeon to join our “Nick Creator Collective” – a small and talented group of creators working across different disciplines that will act as an extension of the Nickelodeon team and take turns creating content for Nickelodeon-owned social channels, including Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., NickRewind, TeenNick, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
Can you create a meme faster than Lil and Phil can get into trouble? What about making an Instagram video that even Helga Geraldine Pataki would double tap on? You know, content that might be about a certain boy with a football-shaped head….
If you’re a savvy social content creator and a fan of all things Nickelodeon, you might be the perfect fit to join the “Nick Creator Collective” – a new group of content creators working across different disciplines (graphic design, stop-motion animation, motion graphics/editing, and live-action). This group is going to help Nickelodeon create quick-turn social content for the amazing Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., NickRewind, TeenNick, and SpongeBob SquarePants brands. Nickelodeon-wide diversity & inclusion initiatives are another important category of social content that Nick is looking to create, which will span across all Nick brands. The main platforms we’ll be focusing on are Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat (in priority order).
If chosen to be a part of this talented group, you’ll have access to a continuous stream of projects with countless opportunities of all shapes and sizes across multiple Nickelodeon properties. The initial pilot phase will run approximately six months, and if the program is successful, you’ll have an opportunity to rejoin the group.
Here’s how it’ll work.
THE PROCESS:
- Several creators will be selected from each discipline (graphic design, stop-motion animation, motion graphics/editing, and live-action). In total, we expect the Nick Creator Collective to be comprised of at least a dozen creators.
- Once selected, Nickelodeon & Tongal will onboard each creator on the different brands, sub-brands, and properties.
- After getting up to speed, creators with then have access to new opportunities open exclusively to the Nick Creator Collective.
- For each new content need, the Nickelodeon team will provide a “content order form,” which will scope out each creative ask for members of the Nick Creator Collective.
- Depending on the fidelity (i.e. complexity) and timing of Nick’s content need, opportunities will either go directly to a member of the Collective or there will be an ask for creative takes (i.e. treatments) from multiple creators, which Nick will choose between.
- Take a look at the menu of options – this includes a breakdown of the fidelity, timing, and pricing per asset, for different types of asks. For example, on projects with longer timelines, multiple creators from the group will be asked for creative takes. On projects with shorter timelines, we will go directly to a creator to see if they’re available to complete a request. For quick-turn projects, we’ll approach members of the Collective in a round robin manner (i.e. we’ll go down the list of creators in order), so everyone has an equal opportunities to complete work. Timelines for these projects will range from a 24-hour turnaround to 4+ weeks.
- Once Nick selects you to create content, you’ll submit the deliverable on the Tongal platform for approval. For longer-term projects with a pre-production phase, we will let you know what pre-production requirements are required for that particular project, and pre-production approvals will be handled on the Tongal platform as well.
- We expect the pilot of this initiative to last for 6 months and if successful, you’ll have an opportunity to rejoin the collective.
