Calling all history buffs! We are inviting you to create a project related to history. This can involve recreating a historical artifact, restoring an existing artifact, or creating a new project using historical techniques. For example, you could show how to carve a stone wheel, restore a space age lighting fixture, spin wool into yarn and knit a hat, or build a steam engine. You have all of history to work with.
We are offering Judge’s Prizes for the best projects from different historical periods; starting with ancient history and going all the way to the late 1900s. In order to help us better judge your entry, let us know where in history your project originates in the introduction of your project.
This is your opportunity to investigate a historical time period of your choosing and truly make history.
Judges prizes will be offered for the best projects from these time periods:
- Ancient history (pre-400)
- Middle ages (400 – 1399)
- Renaissance (1400 – 1600)
- Enlightenment (1685 – 1799)
- Victorian era (1800 – 1899)
- Early 20th century (1900 – 1949)
- Later 20th century (1950 –1999)
In addition to the historical epoch-themed prizes, we are also offering an Autodesk Design & Make Award for best use of Autodesk software in the creation of your project, and a Student Judge’s Prize for the best Instructable made by an actively enrolled student.
Create a project that relates to history.
Judges prizes will also be given if your project falls within one of the specified periods of history from the contest introduction.
